Olive E. Dahlin, 88
GRANGEVILLE: Olive E. Dahlin, 88 of White Bird passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at Syringa General Hospital in Grangeville.
Olive was born August 13, 1916 at What Cheer, Iowa the daughter of Augustus and Hattie Belle VanWinkle McKamey. The family moved to St. Charles, IL when she was a teenager. She married Ralph Dahlin in 1935. She worked in the City Library at St. Charles for many years. Mr. Dahlin retired in 1970 and they traveled for several years before moving to White Bird, Idaho in 1994. Mr. Dahlin passed away in 2003.
She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, leatherwork, reading fishing and playing Mrs. Santa along with her husband playing Santa during the holiday season.
She was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Bethlehem Lutheran Church in St. Charles and the Pleasant View Baptist Church in White Bird. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Connolley of White Bird, a son, Michael Dahlin of Greenville, VA, 6 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and 5 brothers.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Blackmer Funeral Home, Grangeville. Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant View Baptist Church, White Bird
