Elma E. “Jerry” Hall, 83











GRANGEVILLE: Elma E. “Jerry” Hall, 83, of Grangeville passed away at Syringa General Hospital on April 20, 2005 after suffering heart failure. Her family was at her side.

Jerry was born in Shelley, Idaho to Walter Allen and Phoebe Winn Nye on January 3, 1922. She graduated from Nyssa High School in Nyssa, Oregon. She married Floyd Stephen Hall on March 14, 1942, just before he left overseas for duty in World War II.

She enjoyed picking huckleberries, crocheting, playing cribbage, watching the Mariners and the joy of her life were her grandchildren.

She is survived by 7 children, Shanna Roundy of Nampa, Idaho, Shirley and Jim Knutson of Moses Lake, Washington, Sherry and Don Calkins of Caldwell, Idaho, Susan and Mike Borrows, of Otis Orchards, Washington, Floyd and Deanna Hall, of Grangeville, Dick and Lark Hall of Grangeville and Skip and Cindy Hall also of Grangeville. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, two sisters, Alice Jensen and LaRue Ernest of Oregon and a brother Alvin Nye of Boise.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Floyd S. Hall, in 1984, her parents, one brother, a grandson and a great grandson.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 25, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Blackmer Funeral Home, Grangeville. Burial will follow at Prairie View Cemetery, Grangeville.
