Frederick D. Sullivan, 85

GRANGEVILLE: Frederick D. Sullivan, 85 of Grangeville passed away Wednesday, June 22 at Deaconess Medical Center in Spokane.

Frederick was born June 30, 1919 at Montague, Massachusetts, a son of Frederick and Lillian Cromack Sullivan. He attended schools in Turner Falls, Massachusetts and graduated from high school in 1936. He graduated from Tufts University in Boston before enlisting in the US Navy during World War II. He was a lieutenant and was involved in the Normandy Invasion and served in the South Pacific. After serving 4 years he was honorably discharged. He then entered dental school at Tufts University. Following his graduation from dental school the university hired him as a professor and he also was a partner in a private dental practice. He taught until 1981 when he retired. He then enjoyed traveling throughout the US. He moved to Idaho in 1997. He married his wife Abagail on December 5, 1997 and adopted his daughters, Cheyenne and Jessica in 1998.
He was very proud of his girls and dearly loved his wife.

He enjoyed reading, gardening and nice cars with big engines. He was a member of the Massachusetts Dental Society.

He is survived by his wife, Abagail, daughters Cheyenne and Jessica, brothers, Donald Sullivan of Spokane, Gayle Sullivan of Boston, and Dennis Sullivan of Grangeville and a sister Anna Marie Amidon of Mass. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Alan, and three sisters, Lucille, Elaine and Jean.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 25, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grangeville Christian Church with Pastor Harold Gott officiating. Services are under the direction of the Blackmer Funeral Home, Grangeville.
