Terry C. Rape, 58
Terry Cecil Rape, 58, suffered a major heart attack and died shortly after on September 15, 2005. He was born January 8, 1947, to Cecil and Cleo Rape on White
Bird Hill. He was the third child and joined two sisters, Bonnie and
Georgia.
The family had several places they called home while he was growing up.
During the school year they lived in Cottonwood where his father owned a
shoe shop. Summers were spent taking care of homesteads up Slate Creek and
Skookumchuck. Some of his fondest memories were on the creeks as a child.
In 1965 he married Grace Prall. They had three children together, Tammy,
Terry and Toni, while living in Elk City. After six years of marriage the
couple went separate ways.
In 1971 he married again to Lorretta Allen. She had one son, Rob Nutting
from a previous marriage. The three lived in Lewiston and Grangeville. In
1978 the couple had a son, Allen Jessie. In 1981 they moved to Elk City
where they moved from place to place. In 1985 they divorced.
He met Mary-Kay Morgan and her three sons, Jimmy, Wyatt and Heath. They
married in 1992 and separated after two years.
He lived in Elk City until 1997 and then he moved to Riggins to be with
Allen until he graduated from high school in 1998. He then moved to
Grangeville and spent the remainder of his life taking care of his mother,
Cleo.
He loved family, friends and his pets unconditionally. He was an outdoor
sportsman with a passion for fishing. He and Allen were best buds and spent
countless hours in the great outdoors soaking it all in. They were always
together, even until the end.
He is survived by his mother, Cleo Rape; sisters, Georgia Woodly, and Bonnie
Pepper; his children, Tammy Schumaker, Terry Richter, Toni Lincoln and Allen
Rape; grandchildren, Kash, Brandi and Ty Schumaker, Crystal and Mitchell
Richter, Daniel Lincoln, Wyatt, Ruby and unborn baby boy Rape.
He was preceded in death by Ryan Richter, grandson, and his father, Cecil
Rape.
He will be missed dearly.
A memorial will be held October 1, 2005 at Skookumchuck on the Salmon River. The time
will be announced later.
