William "Bill" H. Reuter, 65

William "Bill" H. Reuter, 65, of Fenn, Idaho, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, October 3, 2005 at the family home.
He was born November 4, 1939 at the family home in Fenn to Herman William and Gladys Elizabeth Walker Reuter. He grew up on the family farm at Fenn, and attended schools in Cottonwood and Grangeville. He graduated from Grangeville High School in 1957. He joined the Army in August of 1958, and served until July 1961 at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina.
He met the love of his life, Katherine Parks, when he was home on leave in October of 1960. They married in Grangeville at the First Baptist Church on September 24, 1961. He worked at Stegner Grain, Union Warehouse, a Grangeville sawmill, and in construction. He was a skilled craftsman and could build anything he put his mind to. After his father’s retirement, he took over running the family farm until his own retirement in 2002. Together, William and Katherine had five children, April, Ty, Todd, Kevin and Holly.
Bill committed his life to the Lord and was baptized in 1977. He was a member and Deacon of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Cottonwood. He loved serving the Lord and served in many ways in the church. He also attended First Baptist Church and Mountain Shadows Baptist Church in Grangeville in the past. Bill loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing most of all. But his most enjoyable times spent were with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his wife Kathy at the family home; three sons, Ty and Shannon Reuter of Grangeville, Kevin and Christine Reuter of Grangeville and Todd and Imelda Reuter of Bremerton, Washington; daughter Holly and Tim Droegmiller of Craigmont, Idaho; grandchildren Danielle, Carly, Jordan, Nathan, Zachary & Zane Reuter of Grangeville, Courtney and Ashley Reuter of Bremerton, Washington and Hunter, Logan and Kobe Droegmiller of Craigmont; and a sister, Donna Hazelbaker of Grangeville. He was preceded in death by a daughter, April (at birth), his parents, a sister, Roberta Burke and a brother, Wayne Reuter.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Idaho Baptist Church in Mount Idaho, east of Grangeville.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the building fund for the Emmanuel Baptist Church, P.O. Box 207, Cottonwood. Idaho 83522. Arrangements are under the direction of the Blackmer Funeral Home in Grangeville. Condolences may be sent to the family at Blackmerfuneralhome.com.
