Ronnie D. Aiken, 63













GRANGEVILLE: Ronnie D. Aiken, 63, of Grangeville passed away Friday, March 17, 2006 at Syringa General Hospital in Grangeville.

Ronnie was born on April 5, 1942 in Helena, Montana to Ronald and Ethel Aiken. After graduating from Grangeville High School, Ronnie entered the US Army and served for three years until his discharge in 1964.

After the army, he started work for the Nez Perce National Forest as a forestry technician and continued this up until his retirement on May 3, 1997. During this time he married Linda Mattox on July 1, 1966 at Grangeville and they had two children, David and Sheila.

Ronnie enjoyed camping, fishing, riding 4-wheelers and especially loved spending time with his family.

Ronnie is survived by his wife Linda at their Grangeville home; two children, David and Sheila Aiken both of Lewiston; five brothers, Robert and Vera Aiken of Council, Idaho; Richard and Marie Aiken of Clarkston, Washington; Darrell and June Aiken of Grangeville; Darwin and Camile Aiken of White Bird, Idaho and Edward and Sandra Aiken of Grangeville; and one sister, Elizabeth and Rod Proctor of Bouse, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, William and David B. Aiken.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grangeville Gospel Tabernacle Church with Pastors Billy and Melvin Wikoff officiating.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Blackmer Funeral Home in Grangeville.
