Eugene O. Balbach, 66
Eugene O. Balbach, 66, of Grangeville, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2006 at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.
Eugene was born December 21, 1939 in Cottonwood, Idaho to William and Marjorie Balbach. He attended elementary school and graduated from high school in Grangeville.
In October of 1962, he joined the Army National Guard and served for six years. After the military, Eugene became a jewelry maker and continued this for the rest of his life.
Eugene enjoyed hunting, fishing and metal detecting.
He is survived by a sister, Patty Lytle and husband Les of Stites; a brother, Leonard Balbach of Grangeville; sister Shirley Baldwin of Lewiston; and another brother Larry Balbach and his wife Penny of Kamiah, as well as eight nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 24, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Prairie View Cemetery in Grangeville with celebrant Stephanie Jordan officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Blackmer Funeral Home in Grangeville.
