Everett G. Dahl, 88
Everett George Dahl, 88, passed away on May 22, 2006 in Santa Rosa, California.
George was born on April 6, 1918 in Grangeville, Idaho, a son of Anton Cydney Dahl, from Norway, and May Phyllisia Zumwalt.
He served in the United States Army during WWII in the China, Burma, and India Theatre. After the war he settled in Alaska and started the city of North Pole, becoming its first Mayor. He also lived for many years in Santa Rosa and Palm Desert, California.
He is survived by his daughter Phyllis and sons George, Steve and Gary and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be laid to rest in his hometown of Grangeville, Idaho, after leading a long and full life.
Local arrangements are under the direction of the Blackmer Funeral Home in Grangeville.
