Alta (Scotty) Ione (Francis) Bradbury, 74
October 15, 1933 – September 8, 2008

Alta was born to Addie I. (Hinshaw) Francis and Franklin R. Francis at Council, Idaho.

She was raised in the back country of Idaho, Yellow Pine, Stibnite, and Big Creek areas until she entered high school at Council, graduating in 1952.

She married Rosco Paul Woods around 1953-54, and they were later divorced.

She married Claude Stanley (Stan) Bradbury on February 14, 1962, and moved with Stan to various different states as he continued his career in logging. In later years, they enjoyed wintering in Hope, Arizona where they made many friends and enjoyed various activities, especially musical jam sessions, as Stan played guitar.

After Stan passed away, Alta continued to winter in Arizona, enjoying friends and activities on the RV Parks. She summered in Idaho, two years of which was in Challis where she bought a house. The last few months were spent in Emmett Rehab and Care Center where she passed away.

Alta is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Fauna and Phil Fry of Tucson, Arizona; special 99 year old Aunt, Mrs. Zora Barbour of Caldwell, Idaho; special cousin, Christine Thompson of Emmett, Idaho; several special friends, cousins, numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Stan in 2001, and both of her parents.

Alta fought a valiant fight against many illnesses. Her friends and family wish her a happy journey!!

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. (Mountain Time), at the Riggins Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Blackmer Funeral Home in Grangeville.
