Nancy L. Peebler, 70, of Grangeville, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2009, at Syringa General Hospital.  

 

Nancy was born April 24, 1938 at Alexandria, Virginia, a daughter of Raymond and Geneva Mills Housum.  She attended school in Virginia, graduating from George Washington High School in Alexandria in 1956.    

 

She married Edward Burch in the early 1960’s. They later divorced. She married Dean Peebler in 1990 at Colorado Springs, Colorado.  They moved to Twin Falls, Idaho in 1991 where she worked as a deputy clerk in the Twin Falls County Assessors Office.  She retired in 2001 and they moved to Grangeville.  

 

She enjoyed camping, fishing, wood cutting, and going on drives in the country.  Her two favorite pastimes were horses and listening to George Strait music.  She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church.  

 

She is survived by her husband, Dean of Grangeville; her daughters, Jennifer Homberg of Twin Falls, and Donna Burch of Grangeville; her granddaughters, Cassie and her husband Jameson Sharp of Twin Falls, and Jessica Burch of Boise.   

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Gloria Perales Smith, and a brother, Richard Trevino. 

 

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 29, 2009, at 1:00 p.m., at the Blackmer Funeral Home in Grangeville.  Burial will follow at Prairie View Cemetery.  Viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 28, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., at the Blackmer Funeral Home in Grangeville.
