Dennis D. Crosby, 65, of Grangeville, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on September 9, 2009, in Grangeville.
Dennis was born September 8, 1944, in Ontario, Oregon to Niles and Sylvia Crosby. He attended school in Weiser, Idaho before moving to Grangeville to pursue a career in logging. After retiring in 2001, he was able to devote himself to being a full-time grandpa.
He met and married the love of his life, Barbara Cornett, and they raised 9 children together: Kandice, Jeff, Tom, Chad, Lazelle, Lachelle, Cori, D.J. and Kayla.
He loved his work, camping, hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling with family and friends, or just simply being in the mountains.
He was preceded in death by his father, and his grandparents.
Dennis was a devoted husband, father, grandpa, and friend to many. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
Viewing will be held on Monday, September 14, 2009, from 3:00-8:00 p.m., at the Blackmer Funeral Home in Grangeville, and again on Tuesday, September 15, from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 Noon. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will take place on Wednesday, September 16, at 11:00 a.m., at the John Day Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sterling Savings Bank in Grangeville in memory of Dennis Crosby. Arrangements are under the direction of the Blackmer Funeral Home in Grangeville. |
