Dena A.T. Workman, 90

Dena Workman, 90, of Grangeville, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at her home at the Meadowlark where she resided for the last three years.

She was born July 23, 1916 in Varsseveld, Holland, a daughter of Herman and Leida TenBrinke Jansen. They moved to America in 1926 and settled in South Dakota. In 1933 the family moved to Grangeville and it was there she met her husband Joe. They were married October 22, 1937, and farmed in the Mt. Idaho area until his death in 1975. She was a member of the Christian Reformed Church.

She is survived by her sons, Stan and Gloria Workman of Troy, ID and Marvin and Janice Workman of Portland, OR; her daughter, Barbara and Larry Case of Grangeville; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. And then there are her “Angels on Earth”, her nieces, Joan Robinette and Connie Workman. They were always there when we needed then and they have been such a blessing to all of us. You are loved.

Her husband; her parents; brother William Jansen, and sisters, Johanna Workman and Hermina VanderLugt preceded her in death.

We would like to thank Dr. Hollopeter for his many years of care. To Diane, Mary and all the caregivers at the Meadowlark, thank you and God bless you. Mom loved you all and we are most grateful.

A celebration of Dena’s life will be held on Saturday, June 9th at 11:30 a.m. at the Blackmer Funeral Home in Grangeville. Rev. Jude Reardon of the Grangeville Christian Reformed Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Prairie View Cemetery.

Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Reformed Church Memorial Fund, 521 N. Junction, or the Grangeville Christian Church Building Fund, 402 SW 1st Street, Grangeville, ID 83530.
