Cathryn “Kay” Walsingham, 65
GRANGEVILLE: Cathryn “Kay” Walsingham, 65 of Grangeville passed away Friday, May 27, 2005 at Syringa General Hospital in Grangeville.
Kay was born March 15, 1940 at Maddock, North Dakota a daughter of Charles and Viola Ellingson Christianson. The family moved to California when she was a teenager and she graduated from Garden Grove High School in Garden Grove, California in 1959. She attended college at Santa Anna Junior College. She married Wayne Walker and they later divorced. She married Robert Walsingham in 1968 in Oregon and they moved to Grangeville in 1979. She worked as the manager of First Federal Bank in Grangeville and also worked as a secretary for a local attorney.
She enjoyed gardening, cats, dogs and especially reading. She also enjoyed spending time at home.
She is survived by her husband, Robert at the family home in Grangeville, her sons, Mark Walsingham of Cordova, Alaska, Chuck Walker of Topponish, Washington, Mike Walker of John Day, Oregon and Nathan Walsingham of Grangeville, a daughter Sara Walsingham of Cordova, Alaska, two brothers, Charles Christianson of Kamuela, Hawaii, and Paul Christianson of Eugene, Oregon, a sister, Alice Christianson of Cottage Grove, Oregon, and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Paul.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 31st at 2:00 p.m. at the Blackmer Funeral Home, Grangeville.
