Billy F. Nanney, 59
Billy F. Nanney, 59, of Grangeville, passed away suddenly on October 29, 2008, at his home in Grangeville.Billy was born January 31, 1949 in Morton, Washington. He worked as a logger all his life and raised his three children in Morton. Billy moved to the Grangeville area in 2005 with his special companion, Susan Sargent. He loved fishing and rock hunting and figured he had found the perfect place for both. He started playing karaoke for friends and special occasions where he met many good people and he enjoyed every moment of singing with friends. He had a great singing voice which everybody enjoyed listening too. He will be missed so much by so many.
His is survived by his three children, Tina Nanney of Chandler, Arizona, Rick Nanney of Centralia, Washington, and Terri Beringer of Maple Valley, Washington; his grandchildren, Amy Rae Nanney Palumbo of Chandler, Arizona, and Jon “Willy” Vigre of Silver Creek, Washington; his mother, Irene Nanney of Morton, Washington; a sister, Shirley Collins of Onalaska, Washington; brothers, Leon (Sadie) Nanney of Silver Creek, Washington, and Howard “Nub” Nanney of Morton, Washington, and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his companion, Susan “Susie Q” Sargent of Grangeville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Luen “Hoot” Nanney; a brother, Larry Russell Nanney, and a brother in law, Frank Collins.
This is not good bye Billy, just a “see ya later”, Susie Q.
A celebration of his life will be held on November 22 in Morton.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Blackmer Funeral Home in Grangeville.
