Lloyd Patrick Uhlenkott
Lloyd Uhlenkott, age 81, entered into God’s Heavenly Kingdom on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by family. He was born on March 17, 1942 to Vince and Claudine (Pfiffner) Uhlenkott in Clarkston Washington. He finished high school in Clarkston, and spent two years at Gonzaga University, where he met his first wife, Rita Hoerner. They raised four children together. During that time, he worked several years with his father and uncle at Johns Auto Wrecking in Clarkston. He was a prominent member of the Clarkston Eagles. His mechanic skills led him to work on the Dworshak Dam and with several other businesses. During this time, he was also a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, involved with the Knights of Columbus, and remained a devoted Catholic all his life.
Lloyd enjoyed the outdoors camping and fishing with his children. After 30 years of marriage Lloyd and Rita divorced.
He enjoyed the next 8 years as a bachelor before meeting his wife Judy (Ross) Klapprich and getting married in 2000. He realized his dream of opening his own Auto Repair Shop and worked as a mechanic for the next several years. Lloyd loved to sneak away to the mountains and rivers to camp and fish. His greatest pride was helping the grandkids catch their first fish. He loved spending time with family, smoking his pipe, playing cribbage and pinochle.
Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents, Vince and Claudine Uhlenkott, and sisters Sr. Emagene Uhlenkott Warren OSB of St. Gertrudes and Mary Weeks of Spokane, and grandson Jordan Klapprich.
