Luella K. McCulley
Luella K. McCulley died Thursday, August 17, 2023, at her home in Grangeville, Idaho. She was one of the sweetest people you'd ever meet. She was born May 26, 1931, at Keuterville, Idaho to Steve and Elnora (Enneking) Mader. A few years later she was joined by brothers Melvin and Charles.
She married Alfred J. McCulley on February 25, 1951. They had three children: Lynn, Cliff, and Leah. Al and Luella purchased Mobil Oil Bulk Plant in 1957. Luella ran the office. She was the secretary, the bookkeeper, and the dispatcher for fuel trucks, and she loved working with the public. She retired in 1996 from Primeland fuel department (formerly Union Warehouse).
After retiring, she grew beautiful wave petunias at her home and volunteered at the Syringa Thrift Store. Luella loved spending time with family and supporting her grandchildren with their endeavors.
Luella is survived by her husband Al of 72 years; two daughters, Lynn Ray, and Leah McCulley (Mark Wilkins), and son Cliff (Paula) McCulley; four grandchildren, Levi (Crystal) Sublett, Alissa (David) Sears, Jared (Robin) McCulley, and Tanner (Kat) Maynard; seven great grandchildren, Sawyer, Jasper, Kaiden, Bradley, Byron, Rykker, and Maliea; brother-in-law, George (Sandy) McCulley; sisters-in-law Betty Mader and Chloe McCulley; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and a granddaughter Shoni Ray.
Graveside services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, August 26 at Prairie View Cemetery, Grangeville. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to Syringa Thrift Store.
